The story goes like this... In 1998, after nine years of working as a paralegal, I decided to stop shuffling paper files and pursue my passion for other paper. I worked for Crane & Co. and then for a small paper shop before launching my own dream company, Paperjoy in 2004. I grew up in Phoenix, went to college in New Orleans, and spent my twenties in Boston. While living in Boston, my entertaining and party ideas exploded. Some notable party themes were Insect Logic, The Brown and Red Party, The T-Shirt Party, Easter GoodBye, and Orphan Thanksgiving. Each party had elaborate invitations. In fact, I met my husband while performing in a play as a bridesmaid wearing a paper dress. Paper, indeed, has always been a constant presence in my life.

I live five miles from the shop, am married to the love of my life, John, have two handsome sons, Sam and Luc and three crazy dogs, Birdie, Ripley and Mrs. Eaves.  My hope is that I can share by my Paper Joy with you... Lydia
